Live In or Out Nanny - Putney ACP

We are recruiting for a Nanny/ PA to join a wonderful family in Putney. This is an exciting opportunity to work with older children, whilst also supporting the family as a PA.

The family are looking for a live-in or live-out nanny/housekeeper/PA to start in September 2024 or possibly a little earlier. The nanny would have sole charge care of two boys aged 14 and 12 years from the start of the job. Hours of work would be 7.45am - 7.45pm ideally with two babysitting evenings midweek. Both parents have busy jobs, so the nanny needs to have a flexible attitude and be happy to muck in. We feel that an experienced nanny with a strong character who is intelligent, robust, energetic and active would suit the family best. The candidate would ideally have experience with children from 10 years up to 16 years and would be confident helping the boys with all aspects of their homework. As a result, the nanny needs to be fluent in English (including writing). A driver is required as essential and an automatic car is provided for driving the children to school midweek and wherever required during the holidays. The family would like a naturally tidy person and someone who is happy to home-cook meals for the family. The 12 year old is at day school in London and the 14 year old is at weekly boarding school in Surrey. The family lives in Putney midweek and has a house in Hampshire (less than 1 hour from Putney) which they go to every Friday evening and return on Sunday evenings. During school holidays, the family would like their nanny to be happy to spend some days in Hampshire with the boys, but they would make sure that any travel time is built into the working day so the nanny doesn't have a longer working day once their travel time is taken into account.

The family is ideally looking for someone who is happy to commit until at least September 2025 but ideally longer if all goes well. They are flexible on pay for the right person and are offering 60k gross per annum for the live out role depending on experience Ideally the family would like the nanny to be (or be able to become) OFSTED registered.. If live in the nanny will have a double bedroom and bathroom as accommodation, if live out the nanny must be fairly local to Putney.

Duties are listed below

All standard nanny duties, including washing and ironing of children's clothes and bed linen, cooking of children's meals and tidying up after children.

Taking children to and from school and happy to drive them to local activities, such as clubs plus taking them to doctor/dentist etc.

Supervising homework and arranging play dates, buying birthday presents for children's friends, and helping with completing school requests, such as buying and naming school uniform, helping with school projects etc.

When children are at school, if time allows, doing the family errands (e.g. taking car for MOT service, collecting items from post office periodically, picking up food from supermarket/butcher).

Ordering online food for family's cooking each week. Unpacking family food delivery.
