Our client, an industry leader in Critical Power Systems, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their Technical Services Team in the greater Toronto area for dispatch to client locations across the city.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventative maintenance on critical power and backup power systems
Perform service and emergency repairs, including the preparation of detailed field reports
Handle new installations, start-ups, and commissioning of equipment
Calibrate and optimize specialized equipment for peak performance
Utilize thermal imaging for analysis and reporting
Conduct power quality analysis and generate corresponding reports
Interpret and understand drawings and schematic diagrams
Work with low, medium, and high voltage systems
Operate and troubleshoot communications technology such as Modbus and SNMP
Maintain and service DC plants and battery systems, including VRLA and flooded batteries
The Ideal Candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, strong technical skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and excellent communication abilities. They will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, and possess a strong commitment to customer serviceâ a proactive team player, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in all functions.
The successful candidate must:
Be Reliability Security Clearance eligible ( 5 years in Canada)
Posses a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
Minimum one year of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) maintenance experience
