Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Hyderabad/Remote

Exp Level: 3-5years

Type of Position: Full-Time

Job Description:

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Identifies test cases and creates or updates test case documents with assistance from the core engineering team.

Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Executes test cases, identifies bugs, evaluates bugs with appropriate priority and severity, and reports bugs.

Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.

Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Identifies the gap between the function specifications and implementation.

Understands the functionality of the entire product and takes ownership of the hotfixes allocated to him/her for testing.

Provides recommendations for enhancing product features.

Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Load testing using the open-source tools.

Experience in the UI/Functional automation – Selenium

API automation using Rest Assured.

Mandatory Skills:

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in testing web-based products/projects.

Ability to work in a team and challenging environment.

Knowledge of different types of testing and testing strategies.

Understands the SDLC, Agile/SCRUM concepts, and software release cycle.

Knowledge of stress and performance testing is desirable.

Knowledge of automation tools is desirable.

Knowledge of TFS/Jira.

Excellent Oral and Written communication skills.

Excellent Team Player skills.
