Location: Philadelphia, PA (5 days a week onsite; Potential for hybrid work after initial implementation)

Location: Philadelphia, Candidates need to be within one hours distance from Philadelphia

FULL TIME ONLY

Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Engineer will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, as well as providing IT support across various levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PowerBI and Cognos Reporting tools, combined with the willingness to engage in hands-on technical work.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence and Reporting:

Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using PowerBI and Cognos Reporting tools.

Create and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business objectives.

Collaborate with various departments to gather requirements and ensure BI solutions meet business needs.

Perform data analysis and provide actionable insights to improve decision-making processes.

Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data warehouses.

IT Support:

Provide help desk support to end-users, addressing technical issues and resolving them in a timely manner.

Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues, including system performance, connectivity, and application errors.

Ensure data security and integrity by implementing and maintaining appropriate IT security measures.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

Project Management:

Lead and participate in BI and IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to support BI and IT initiatives.

Documentation and Training:

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, system manuals, and process documentation.

Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of BI tools and IT systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and IT support.

Proficiency in PowerBI and Cognos Reporting tools is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems.

Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or similar.

Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly VAI S2k.

Understanding of WMS systems like BFC Dakota.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and IoT solutions.
