Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Ensure customer protection and issue containment for Body in White (BIW), Press, and Trim, Chassis & Final (TCF) defects

Drive effective issue closure with early involvement and apply lessons learned to new products

Lead efforts in resolving and establishing assurance controls with critical process adequacy reviews

Focus on field quality and target 1 & 0 MIS and Walk Home failures due to manufacturing

Oversee operations across multiple body shops, press shop, and TCF lines

Optimize resources to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

Standardize systems and MQA processes across all shops

Develop and implement a CMM audit plan for better vehicle First Time Through (FTT) performance

Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements

Drive systemic closure of actions, implement preventive maintenance, and reduce operator defects

Collaborate with PVT and design teams to resolve complex issues

Lead initiatives to reduce offline and online Repeat Test (RPT) occurrences

Drive the digitization of Manufacturing Quality Assurance (MQA) processes and implement IT-based tracking of Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters

Collaborate with all stakeholders to enhance manufacturing quality

Align and achieve targets for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Ensure product process compatibility through the CMM matrix

Conduct periodic reviews and leadership audits

Ensure successful First Time Right (FTR) launches for new products

Education Qualification

Education Qualification

BE / B Tech.

General Experience

Minimum 15 yrs. of experience in various aspects of Quality Assurance / Manufacturing in Automobile manufacturing.

*Exposure to TCF & BIW & Press Mfg. process, controls, failure analysis and benchmark component know how.

*Proven experience in manufacturing quality assurance.

*Strong understanding of audit and compliance processes.

*Effective problem-solving Six Sigma Black Belt and project management skills.

*Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.

*Proficient in process improvement methodologies and digitization initiatives.

Critical Experience

•Knowledge of manufacturing processes in Plant (Assy., Body, Paint etc) & suppliers.

•Knowledge of Product, Vehicle System.

•Knowledge Manufacturing process, Supplier processes

•Quality tools and techniques (MPPAP, Audit Skills, MSA study, 7 QC tools, SPC)

•Best Practices in Industry (Benchmarking)

•Packing standards for Logistics

• People development

•.Proficient in using MS Office suite of programs
