We are looking to hire a Quality Controller in Hull, UK.

This role at Siemens Gamesa will offer you opportunities for progression, whilst working in a small, close team. The shift patterns provide our staff with excellent work life balance, and as a QC you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, and to be a part of the Hull blade factory expansion that is due to start in 2023. There is also the potential of opportunity to work overseas supporting our other factories around the world.

As a Quality Controller, you will perform a range of qualified and complex quality tasks to ensure that agreed quality standards comply with agreed requirements.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

Proceed with qualified, routine and non-routine quality operations.

Applies specialised quality systems, equipment, tools and methods.

Completes quality product checks, tests, and inspections in accordance with quality procedures.

Initiates quality rectification actions according to guidelines when quality does not match the required standards.

Responds to quality related enquiries, may act as first point of contact in technical subject matters.

Supports or completes root cause failure investigations in the course of customer claim management procedures.

Reports accurately and timely to accountable quality management.

Visual analysis and quality inspection of fiberglass and resin properties

Registration of any deviations from the quality of the blades

Non-Conformance Reporting in accordance with documented NCR process.

Random quality testing associated with blade production

Optimization and implementation of new quality initiatives and improvement programmes.

Visual inspection of the blade in production and as the finished painted article.

Various ad hoc inspection and quality specific tasks

What you need to make a difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

Strong manufacturing background including working to controlled specifications

Experience in digital and component inspections

Experience of CtQ (Critical to Quality) examinations, inspections, and evaluations

Experience of working a shift pattern that may include night working

Experience with statistical data and tolerance analysis

Visual aids and preparation for production experience

Proactive and action oriented. You will actively seek what you need to complete your tasks
