Have you always been handy with numbers? Do you keep an overview and do you ensure that there are no errors in the reports you have checked? Do you have a completed education in Controlling, Accountancy, Business Economics or Business Administration? Then read on, because we are looking for a full-time Senior Business Controller for brand new site in Dorsten, Germany!

What are your typical tasks in a role of Senior Business Controller :

Working closely with the Business Units in German entities, with CFO, accounting and support departments

Analyzing and evaluating operational processes in terms of profitability and proposing improvement measures

Overseeing the calculation and monitoring of the main indicators (KPIs) of the business areas, analyzing deviations and their causes

Proactively identifying business opportunities and risks

Supporting business decision-making

Supervision of budget preparation, control of implementation and analysis of deviations

Taking an active part in the month/year-end closing processes, in cooperation with the accounting department and the Group's financial departments (creation of reserves, verification of correctness of results)

Overseeing the correct allocation of costs in accordance with company policy

Improvement of controlling processes and tools

Preparation of profitability analyses for projects (e.g.: additional services for clients)

Participation in the development of strategic plans

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous experience in financial controlling or in a similar position (at least 3-5 years)

Proficiency in both English and German

Thorough knowledge of financial analysis, financial and management accounting

Educational background in economics, finance, accounting or business administration (at least bachelor degree)

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (knowledge of VBA would be an advantage)

Excellent communication skills, accuracy and analytical thinking
