Position Overview:

Focus, Scope, & Impact:

Key Objective: Develop KO Category’s long term growth vision through commercial strategies and Catman capabilities that ensure the optimal portfolio placing and display to maximize consumer/shopper interaction and sales. Meet the financial targets for the categories, by setting right architecture, space allocation, planogram, visual merchandising and stock management.

Key Deliverables:

Design LATAM Category management strategies and guides for main markets, guiding our Business Plan development and aligning top priorities with key stakeholders to deliver a data-driven, total category focused and expanded influence area.

Lead LATAM Catman Community, fostering a culture based on shared learnings, insights and cases to accelerate Catman plans across markets and ensuring the strategy execution and tracking capabilities.

Develop pilots with external and internal partners to test, learn and expand new ways to make Catman become more data-driven, retrofeeding our commercial strategies.

Engage the KO System to expand and enhance Catman capability through a clear LATAM Curriculum process to exponentially increase influence over key customers and categories.

Develop Modern Trade Category Visions for detailed countries & categories to support key stakeholders on developing the best tailored strategy. Guide data-driven planograms to ensure that our portfolio have the right amount/quality of shelf space and also the correct placement on the drop. Engage retailers to implement the suggested plans, aligned with their strategy, to contribute to the overall performance of the business.

Together with RGM and channel execution, ensure correct product assortment is provided to the consumer/shopper path at the right price and at the right time.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

Work Focus

Help the retailer grow the overall performance of the NARTD beverages category.

Improve the sales performance of KO portfolio as well. Optimize the shelf space and the placement allocated to KO products and competitor products in store. Suggest and negotiate product placement with retailers to perform optimally.

Responsible for data analysis and reporting to discuss strategies, promotions, pricing and proposed planograms with the relevant role players.

Identify opportunities to improve the layout and performance of the overall category. When approached correctly - suggestions driven by data - create mutual value for the retailer and industry.

The role requires deep understanding of retail beverages business in each market as well strong leadership and accountability to influence Customers and support Shopper Marketing, RGM and Key Accounts teams.

Deploy NARTD category vision and ensure consistency of value propositions for retailer formats in markets within the Zone (e.g. recruitment, trial, frequency) in collaboration with the bottlers and the customer.

Provide insight in category growth opportunities to category leads and to country operations.

Related Work Experience:

7+ years of leadership experience in category management, customer management and commercial capabilities

Market knowledge related to products, consumer needs and the retail environment

Knowledge of category management principles

Strong planning, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to think from planning to execution and System’s customer, commercial and brand management

Internal communication includes providing support to RGM, Shopper Marketing and Key Accounts teams.

External communication includes customer engagement across all markets within the Zone and across Latin America to share best practices.

Influencing and negotiation skills are essential for this role as it will influence acting on mutual strategies as well as securing investment for implementation.

Stakeholder Management

This is a director level role. This role will require senior-level stakeholder engagement across The Coca-Cola Company, our Bottling partners and is expected to navigate our internal network and lead with people to achieve great results. Stakeholders include but are not limited to:

Franchise Leaders (General managers) and VPs

Bottler Commercial and Marketing VPs and Director level leaders

VP and Senior Director level stakeholders internally

Our various local and regional Marketing, Franchise Operations, Commercial and Customer team members, with whom you will deliver work and align on plans
