Personal Injury Investigator / Adjuster

Sedgwick is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team in the role of Personal Injury Investigator / Adjuster. You will be responsible for undertaking high quality complex investigations into liability claims, which at times require direct settlement with non-represented Claimants.

What are my accountabilities?

Manage a portfolio of complex and sensitive personal injury claims.

Use best practice investigative methodologies to ensure all available evidence is identified and sourced in an appropriate manner, and appropriately documented

Prepare high quality reports keeping in mind disclosure requirements within your jurisdiction

Ensure key stakeholders are kept updated throughout the process of an investigation

Work collaboratively with Clients and stakeholders

Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry insights within your jurisdiction

About you:

5 + years’ experience in undertaking investigations into liability claims and/or workers compensation matters

Demonstrated experience in the obtainment of statements using best practice interviewing methodologies

Well developed analytical, verbal and written communication skills

Proven experience in preparing detailed reports, recommendations and comments on liability and quantum when requested by Clients

An understanding, or the ability to acquire knowledge, of the Civil Liability Act within your jurisdiction, and other legislations relevant to matters at hand

An understanding of insurance principles, policies and regulations will be highly regarded

A Certificate III in Investigative Services, Certificate IV in Government Investigations or tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded although not essential
