Locums General Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Seeking a Part Time Locums General Surgery Nurse Practitioner in Syracuse, NY. This part-time position requires availability from Friday to Sunday, with shifts running from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The physician assistant will handle 3-7 surgical cases per day. The primary duties include conducting pre-op physical exams, removing sutures, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, assisting in surgeries, and writing prescriptions. The physician assistant will also be responsible for coordinating patient care. The role demands a strong background in laparoscopic, open, and robotic procedures, as well as experience in surgical inpatient settings.

Requirements:

Strong background in laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgeries

Minimum 3 years of surgical inpatient experience and robotics experience

Experience with Epic EMR

Ability to work with patients aged 16 and older

RNFA & FNP

ACLS

BLS

Active New York State license
