One of Houston's most highly respected Retirement Communities is seeking a Social Worker to join their growing team. This is a 5 star rated, financially strong company with a long history of excellence in long-term care.

Seeking a Social Worker with excellent communication skills and high attentive to detail. Must be self-motivated and an independent problem solver.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate social factors relating to rehabilitation requirements

Provide personal counseling and referral services to residents of the facility

Evaluate and attend to the psycho-social needs of residents

Participate in and collaborate with groups

Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others

High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills

Requirements:

Licensed Master Social Worker/ LMSW in Texas

One year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals

Preferred to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing center, or other related medical center.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services from an accredited college

Current licensure as a social worker in state which he/she practices

Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail

Self-motivated and independent problem solver

Demonstrated leadership abilities
