Role: Senior.NET Developer/Architect (hybrid) (Telecommunications)
Location: Tallahassee, Florida (Need Candidates local to Tallahassee, Florida)
Estimated Duration: 9 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Telecommuting is currently only allowed at most, 3 days a week, with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office required.
Required:
Availability to work 2 days/week at the Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
Experience as a software architect or lead developer (15+ years);
Experience working with development technologies including Microsoft .NET, (C#, VB.NET), ASP.NET/MVC, WCF/Web API, ASP.NET Web Forms, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Knockout, and others), REST, XML, JSON, HTML, and CSS;
Experience in Object-Oriented Programming;
Experience in Azure SQL Server, and T-SQL;
Experience in architecting state-of-the-art cloud-based applications leveraging PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) offerings for leading vendors such as Microsoft Azure;
Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS);
Experience with Dimensional Modeling, including knowledge of key concepts used in star schemas;
Experience with development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile;
Experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft ERP;
Experience in coordinating with Business Analysts to capture business requirements;
Experience with Power BI/Dataflows with integration to Azure SQL Server.
Preferred:
Experience with Azure cloud architecture;
Experience with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system and budget management;
Experience with mainframe computer systems and supporting software such as Customer Information Control System (CICS), Time Sharing Option (TSO), and Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF);
Experience with Financial Management (FM) systems, including Work Program Administration, Project Costing, Federal Aid, and Federal Billing subsystem details and interfacing methods;
Experience with accounting or financial-related systems;
Experience migrating and translating processes between Mainframe based technologies to .Net;
Informatica and its product suite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Perform in-depth analysis of the existing inventory of assets to determine remediation or modernization approach;
Produce end-state solution mockups based on analysis of modernization approach for applications and reports;
Provide architecture guidance on state-of-the-art technical configurations and provide oversight to quality assurance on all code enhancements;
Design and implement state-of-the-art applications to support OWPB and other direct stakeholders;
Triage and address maintenance and enhancement requests for applications owned by OWPB;
Provide hands-on support to peers, coach, guide, and mentor others in accomplishing architecture, design, and implementation goals;
Drive continuous modernization; which may include design, definition of roadmaps, and standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborate with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation.
