6th Grade Language Arts Teacher

All Saints Catholic School is seeking a full-time 6th grade language arts teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We seek dynamic and energetic candidates passionately committed to Catholic education.

Professional Responsibilities Include:

Embodies and promotes the mission and vision of All Saints Catholic School

Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church

Develops and implements a rigorous, standards-based curriculum

Consistently creates a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning

Plans for small reading groups (common novels or other resources, as well as allowing student choice in reading materials)

Incorporates the Six Traits of Writing into daily instruction within the classroom

Applies differentiated instruction and assessment that improves achievement for all learners in a learner-centered and collaborative environment

Develops and uses effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress

Uses technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process including iPads, Chromebooks, smart boards and online instructional platforms

Establishes a consistent disciplinary approach which promotes self-direction and confidence; sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively

Communicates regularly with families and implements clear communication systems

Cooperates with school administration; works effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents

Completes additional administrative, operational, and professional responsibilities and duties as needed
