Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Data Manager Specialist to join a team of passionate professionals supporting an absolutely critical mission for our customer in Chantilly, VA. As a member of this team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity.

As a Data Manager, you will provide full life-cycle data management for multimedia data. Data owners will send you data often on physical media to load into the data respository and various analytical tools. You will shephard the completion of data submission forms by working with end users to ensure correctness and completeness in this initial step in the lifecycle process. You will initiate the data provenance record in the customer's catalog system. You will send and receive cables pertaining to the data collection and load process. You will monitor quality control and the records and tickets describing the data loading and transport processes. As a data manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with and transmitting data to other government agencies that have permission to access a dataset. But best of all, you will play an important role in our customer's mission to provide critical national security-related information to our the top US government policy makers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance

8 years of experience with a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Business Administration or Technology Field (5 years of experience within those 8 years in relevant lifecycle data management); or 6 years of experience with an MS/MA degree; or 3 years of experience with a PhD. 5-7 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office applications

Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Effective written and oral communications skills

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with customer's data governance process

Familiarity with customer's cable system

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
