Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher of Psychology to join a prestigious international school in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive and engaging psychology curriculum that meets the academic standards and requirements of the school.

Instruction: Deliver effective and innovative instruction in psychology to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.

Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Student Support: Provide academic and emotional support to students, addressing individual needs and fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaboration.

Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of psychology and education. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's academic community.

Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to the schools extracurricular programs, such as clubs, workshops, and events related to psychology and mental health.

Parent and Community Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and the wider school community. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: A Bachelors degree in Psychology or a related field is required. A Masters degree in Psychology or Education is preferred.

Certification: Teaching certification or licensure in psychology is required. International teaching certifications (e.g., IB, Cambridge) are highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting. Experience teaching high school psychology courses is essential.

Strong knowledge of psychology and its various subfields.
