We are seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager joining our Headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark and the first project assignment is planned to be in Washington State. The role requires you to travel extensive in the design phase and a period of two years relocation during execution phase, expected to begin in Q3 2025.

Come and join our project manager team and mechanical engineers in civil section business unit. We are proud to acknowledge that our team represents many different nationalities and location. In addition to your colleagues in your competence area, you will be part of experienced project group in your day-to-day work.

Entire Group Technology department counts +240 resolute employees with the focus of delivering technology solutions to ROCKWOOL production facilities. Group technology supports the organization with capacity growth, environmental upgrades, Operational safety, digitalization in operations, off-line production lines for confectioning of stone wool, technical and operational support to operations. We are best in class at Safety management in projects.

What you will be doing

Lead and execute design and construction management activities.

Responsible for all construction project scope related quality, budget, time schedule, certification, approvals, and health & safety checks

Leading civil design consultant and all design related activities including permits in coordination with factory and process teams

Responsible for efficient cooperation in the core teams

Preparing design specifications and tender documents

Managing main and sub-contractors’ claims

Prepare and follow-up civil time schedule in accordance with overall project time schedule.

Implementation of health & safety set-up and daily application through Site Safety Supervisor

Ensure that Site Safety Supervisor has the required mandate to take needed actions to ensure safety.

Coordination with Factory organization design and site activities

Responsible for efficient budget follow-up in relation to design and construction activities

Clear communication to core team and stakeholders.

No restriction to travel, moderate travel activity should be expected.

Be proactive in all the responsibilities described above.

What you bring

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within civil or mechanical engineering and project management.

8 years plus of work experience with project management.

Excellent project management skills and experience in handling large scale projects (5+ years’ experience)

Working experience with multinational teams and contractors

Industrial project experience is a plus!

Knowledge of PRINCE2 philosophy and project execution

High professional business level in English is a must, additional knowledge in Danish is preferred.

Experience in negation and excellent communicator

A Driver’s license
