Qualifications:

*Management and control of project budgets. Technical and fee proposal preparation. Reviewing reports prepared by other staff. Manage limited construction materials testing projects and field technicians. Requirements Washington Professional Engineer registration (or ability to attain Washington PE by reciprocity) B.S.

*Degree in Civil Engineering 10 years relevant experience practicing as a geotechnical engineer. Strong written and oral communication skills Valid Drivers License. Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical engineering emphasis. Experience with specialty testing methods such as CPT, PDA, cross-hole sonic logging, geophysical testing, etc.

Full description:

*Develop local and regional client relationships to obtain opportunities for geotechnical engineering investigations and construction materials testing services.

*Manage various geotechnical engineering investigation projects including high-end private facilities, industrial facilities, schools, universities, manufacturing, dams and transportation.

*Perform complex geotechnical engineering investigations, analyses and development of appropriate solutions to complex geotechnical problems.

*Development of final geotechnical engineering design recommendations suitable for use in the design of construction of the related facility.

*Mentor staff personnel. Project management of all phases of projects including, drilling, lab testing, engineering analyses, report preparation, invoicing and client management.

*Management and control of project budgets. Technical and fee proposal preparation. Reviewing reports prepared by other staff.

*Manage limited construction materials testing projects and field technicians.

Skills/Degree:

*Mathematics, science, and geological knowledge.

*Ability to draw basic sketches.

*A passion for the environment.

*Ability to apply technical knowledge.

*Analytical abilities.

*Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Coursework may include subjects such as: Foundation engineering.

*Able to build and maintain relationships with clients and other teams.
