This non-exempt (hourly) position is responsible for general loan servicing tasks, including the booking and ongoing servicing of all loan types.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform new loan input and second review of loans booked.

Perform general loan servicing tasks, which include preparing payoff letters, reviewing daily reports, initiating wire transfers and loan disbursements.

Interpret loan documents in order to accurately book loan transactions in a timely manner.

Service incoming lender and customer requests for loan transactions, account research, problem resolution, and loan account maintenance.

Respond to customer and lender inquiries in a timely manner.

Input balanced and accurate transactions to customers and general ledger accounts.

Monitor and update insurance records for loans as needed.

Practice and uphold basic loan accounting standards.

Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum one year of banking experience required.

1 year of loan servicing or loan operations experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively correspond with internal bank employees, outside vendors, and external customers.

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 required.

Knowledge of Financial Processing core systems preferred.

Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions and training facilities may be required.

Typical scheduled hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional hours may be necessary upon business needs.

Punctuality is required to maintain First American Bank’s customer service standards.
