Job Summary

An important member of the marketing and outreach teams, the Specialist, under direction from the Physician Relations Associate Director, supports external physician engagement. The Specialist provides marketing and outreach support activities collaboratively across all marketing functions at UCSF Health, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, and UCSF Health Care Network.

Activities include projects related to the physician liaison program and collaboration with the Marketing and Outreach teams. The Specialist independently manages and administers the Salesforce CRM tool. Performing all maintenance and problem resolution, referral and third-party claims-based data aggregation, and monthly reporting. The Specialist researches, analyzes, monitors and evaluates referral data to report on the effectiveness of outreach activities to higher level administration. The Specialist responds to referral inquires and complaints from community physicians, medical groups or health plans, using a high level of skill, discretion, judgment and confidentiality. The Specialist will manage physician liaison email communications, collaborating with the CRM team, to create content and deploy emails to external physician audience. The Specialist coordinates the full range of activities in support of physician webinars including Zoom administration and video editing for posting on the marketing department’s physician website portal. The incumbent will coordinate the UCSF Health Speaker’s Program including communication and coordination between UCSF faculty and the external client. Additionally, the Specialist facilitates marketing of the event, tracks activity of the program, conducts follow-up surveys, and reports findings to Marketing as appropriate. The Specialist will work closely and collaboratively with the physician liaisons and marketing colleagues at UCSF and affiliate hospitals, ensuring customer satisfaction with the working relationship and the quality of assigned deliverables, special outreach projects, and other duties as assigned.

The Marketing and Outreach Specialist is a visible position that represents UCSF Health, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, and UCSF Health Care Network strategic service areas in all interactions with physicians, staff, and all levels of management – both internally and to external clients. The incumbent must be comfortable working under pressure with the ability to multitask, set priorities, and work effectively in both team and independent environments.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

• Bachelor's degree in related area and 1 or more years of related work experience; and / or equivalent experience / training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of a CRM product, particularly Salesforce.

• Health care experience
