The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, as well as other beverages, in a timely manner.

This role involves interacting with customers, taking orders, handling cash transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness of the caf.

The Barista ensures that all beverages are prepared according to company standards and customer preferences.

Key Responsibilities: Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos.

Brew coffee and tea and prepare other beverages according to customer orders and company recipes.

Ensure the consistency and quality of all beverages served.

Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Take customer orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.

Provide information about the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.

Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.

Maintenance and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the espresso machine, coffee brewers, and counters.

Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the caf.

Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly.

Inventory Management: Monitor and restock inventory, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.

Report any inventory shortages or equipment malfunctions to the manager.

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth caf operations.

Assist in training new staff members as needed.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.

Additional Responsibilities: Promote and upsell additional menu items, such as pastries and snacks.

Assist in the preparation of food items, if applicable.

Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.

Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.

Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.

Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
