ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Customer Advisory Enterprise Architect is responsible for bridging the gap between the customer’sbusiness strategy and relevant solutions through crafting a business and solution architecture and roadmap design at the enterprise level. The Customer Advisory Enterprise Architect provides thought leadership on New technologies and recommendations to adopt for business results, supporting customers to develop the future state Architectures and Roadmaps to meet feasibility requirements and business goals. The Customer Advisory Enterprise Architect continously maintains the alignment between roadmap execution and target Architecture to complete business transformation.

ENGAGEMENT SUPPORT ACTIVITIES:

The Customer Advisory Enterprise Architect possesses advanced/expert level knowledge to connect the dots across the entire SAP and non-SAP landscape, advising a Customer’s senior leaders and Executives towards a strategic future path or architecture. Key responsibilities include:

Engaged throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, be an integral member of the account engagement team

Position the value of SAP in line with the customer’s priorities and strategic imperatives

Execute business and business capability, application architecture and infrastructure assessment with customers and partners

Definition and integration of business, data, application, and technical architecture domains. Engaging and orchestrating Specialised Architects, where required.

Drive architecture governance and methodologies to ensure the consistency, communication, and cooperation between all domains of architectures

Lead the target architecture & customer roadmap development ensuring feasibility within the customer landscape

Establish customer’s Enterprise Architecture strategy and roadmap governance

Align and evolve the Architectures and Roadmaps in line with the customer adoption plan

Proactively introduces new capabilties and innovation topics to address specific customer needs and extend the SAP footprint to simply the customer landscape

ACCOUNT-PLANNING & MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategize with the account team to plan for accounts and opportunities, including identifying target opportunities, support setting goals, and develop action plans

Proficiency in adopting a challenger mindset, challenging customers' assumptions and providing insights that reshape their thinking and drive value driven solutions

Consult/Advise Customer and S.I. on the best way to implement the To-Be architecture and deploy successful adoption plan

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proficiency in understanding the customer’s industry and specific business model to support in identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and executing plans to drive growth and revenue

Build sound working customer relationships and establish self as trusted advisor

WORK EXPERIENCE:

10+ years as IT architect or Enterprise Architect

Subject matter expert in Oil and Gas Industry essential

Demonstrates experience in leading the enterprise architecture and cloud roadmap for large customers or engagements

Expert knowledge/expertise in developing data architectures, preferably leveraging SAP technologies

Knowledge of the capabilities of the SAP-reference-architecture or similar reference architectures

Experience with creating and managing enterprise-wide formal frameworks and supporting repositories

Ability to align and effectively communicate with customer IT and business organizations

Expert knowledge/expertise on end to end processes/solution matching

Excellent presentation and communication skills

English: proficient

Business level language: expert

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Certification: minimum requirement

Work in Large IT departments, Consulting firm or from leading software vendors as Enterprise Architect

Experience in IT application sales support for Business Application and/or IT technologies

Experience in large-scale solution implementations or software product development (preferably SAP)

Masters equivalent: optional
