Responsibilities

Provide balanced and scientific Amgen K.K. products and therapeutic areas (TAs) related medical/pharmaceutical information to handle unsolicited medical inquiries under global SOP and local regulation.

Create and update Med Info materials e.g. FAQ, Interview Form, Kusuri-no-shiori, Data on file etc. appropriately, and perform version control.

Report Amgen K.K. adverse event and product complaint to meet internal procedure.

Contribute to Medical Information call center management to ensure appropriate information provision.

Contribute to provide Medical Information content and digital channels appropriately.

Identify and analyze the customer insights from inquiries to be shared with internal stakeholders

Meet local regulation, internal procedure, and industrial rules to manage medical information operations.

Collaborate with both local, global/Regional internal and external stakeholders to manage medical information operations.

Key Activities

Handle the following Medical Information operations related to assigned products and relevant TAs:

Create and update Med Info materials, such as Interview Form, Kusuri-no-shiori (drug information sheets), FAQ/Medical Information Letters and Package insert references, Data on file 社内資料 referred on non promotional materials

Provide product and relevant TA related scientific and balanced information to handle enquiries timely manner.

Contribute to vendor management to ensure quality of responses provided by call center agents and digital channel vendors.

Provide appropriate training to outsourcers based on the deep knowledge on products, TAs, and regulation/industrial rules/Amgen procedures.

Monitor publication in scientific journals and congresses, and manage literature in the internal database.

Also,

Understand internal and external customer needs. Contribute to provide the best Medical Information solutions to meet their needs.

Understand organizational (Japan and global Med Info) strategies, and contribute to translate them to Japan medical information strategies.

Develop great relationships with internal (both local and global) and external stakeholders to contribute to Amgen business.

Collaborate with Med Info colleagues and promote standardization of operating procedures. Contribute to develop, maintain and improve operating procedures without deviations. In case operating procedures are deviated, the Medical Information Manager undertakes a role in performing and improving corrective and preventive actions diligently and without delay.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or life sciences plus at least 3 years of working experience in Japanese pharmaceutical company or Medical service provider. Preferred Med Info-related working experience in Japanese pharmaceutical company or Med Info service provider.

Excellent Japanese communication skills to communicate with external customers, partners, vendors, and internal partners. And basic English communication skill for Amgen internal communication.

Customer perspective to search, manage, and summarize medical information for inquiry handling.

Identify customer’s needs and potential risks related to Amgen products to feedback internal stakeholders.

Work appropriately to meet regulations, industrial rules, Amgen internal procedure based on supports by Med Info Sr. manager.

Positive thinking to meet Amgen business priority and working efficiently.

Japanese: Japanese native speaker. Great verbal and writing polite communication skill to provide information to health care professionals.

English: Ability to identify and comprehend required scientific literature and general administrative documents. And appropriate reading and writing skill to communicate with English speakers on Global/Regional teams through e-mails and online conferences with English subtitle.

Basic IT skill is required to leverage internal systems, providing information, and developing responses and reports.

Understand global Medical Information direction provided by global or regional Medical Information.

Basic English skill to read English scientific/medical literature, and basic business English communication. (TOEIC 600=< for Sr Associate level, TOEIC 800=< for Manager level)

Working style: For Sr Associate level, frequent commute to Tokyo office will be required. For Manager level, hybrid work style (e.g. able to commute to Tokyo once a week) is available.
