JOB SUMMARY:

Intern will have the unique opportunity to work with Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations (UPRV), the official Travel Company of Universal Destinations & Experiences. This will allow an emerging marketer to gain insight into all areas of marketing while expanding their network and skill set. Many projects that the intern will work foster partnership and collaboration between marketing, product, revenue management, and product operations technology teams to gain exposure into different avenues of the business. In this position our Marketing Intern will execute on strategic priorities for UPRV Bi-Coastally. They will collaborate with other marketing teams to drive planning and execution for marquee events package communication, develop sales tools for travel industry sales team by partnering with creative teams and external partners, and implement marketing strategy for the Travel Agency channel. Additionally, they will gain valuable experience in strategic planning, partnership, reporting, professional presentations, and relationship building.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with implementation of Consumer Direct & Travel Agent tactical plans for marquee event packages and the Universal Studios Hollywood package portfolio, including:

Fact sheet creation, maintenance, and distribution

Meeting with internal/external stakeholders & communicating production information and project timelines

Review marketing comps and provide feedback

Attend action workshop for all related projects

Partners with creative and travel industry sales leadership to create new sales collateral for use both digitally and printed.

Participates in team meetings and events.

Implements Travel Agency online marketing plans.

Manages Marketing Inbox for partner asset approvals.

Assists in planning and facilitating a Universal Studios Hollywood dedicated Pop-Up event at the Guest Call Center.

Participates in meet & greets with other teams and cross-divisional leaders to expand network.

Audits and manages website content & commerce engines (UPRV sites, VAX, and Top Partner Sites).

Completes competitive research.

Partners with DDM, Trade, and Social partners to plan and execute communication to Travel Agents.

Assists with a TIS fam/training on site.

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.

Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.

Preferred majors include: Marketing, Communications, Business Administration/Management.

Preferred coursework completed: Marketing, Business Fundamentals, Communications, Sales.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Superior written & verbal communication skills.

Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.

Consistent attendance.

This internship will be a hybrid experience, based in our Orlando offices.

Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2025.

Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
