Carpenter 1st Class/Mason

Position Summary

Performs independent work related to the maintenance and repair of campus interior/exterior structures and furnishings.

Essential Functions

Repairs, installs, and maintains flooring, roofs, ceilings, doors, stairs, windows, signs, and other building and campus structures/components. Makes masonry repairs, including brick/stone, concrete, tiles (ceramic, vinyl, other), asphalt, etc. Services and installs bathroom walls/partitions, showers, enclosures, and other interior components. Repairs and assembles wood furniture, furnishings, railings, doors, etc. Responds to service calls; troubleshoot problems and service issues. Assists carpenters and other trades as required. Assists in maintaining inventory and the upkeep of the shop. Performs other work typical of craft and other duties as assigned by management. Is on-call for emergency and event-related duties.
