As part of our growth across the APAC region, we are currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join us in Bangalore. This role will be focused on developing a localized business plan and implementing the defined strategies to drive new sales opportunities for our Corporate Platforms division.

The BDR is responsible for helping uncover new opportunities in the region, expanding our footprint, and ensuring client expectations are met. As a BDR, you will grow the Nasdaq Governance Solutions business in India, working alongside the team in India and the rest of Asia Pacific. You and the team will be working together to sell across our Nasdaq Corporate Platforms solutions, including SaaS and advisory services. You will further help support marketing efforts in the region by working closely with our marketing team on effective campaigns, events, and other activities to drive opportunity.

Your role and responsibilities:

To develop new business and drive sales growth for Nasdaq’s Corporate Platforms suite of products (Nasdaq Governance Solutions, ESG Solutions and Investor Relations).

Implement the strategic Nasdaq value proposition related to the key vertical listed above and achieve revenue objectives through new business.

Supporting the Sales Director to prospecting; including, researching leads, build lists, cold calling, emailing, event prospecting and lead follow ups. This includes ensuring the CRM database is accurate and up-to-date.

Maintain high quality service by establishing and making sure organizational standards

Undertake continual development and industry training to maintain Nasdaq’s position as the top tier global provider

Drive new business to achieve individual/team and organizational quota and business objectives.

Meet critical metric / Metrics set for Meeting Creation and Opportunity Creation.

Perform software presentations and demonstrations.

Handle all inbound leads through marketing process.

Attend conferences and industry-related events as requested.

Stay abreast of industry standard methodologies to advise customers.

We are a highly metric-driven team, and you will use Salesforce daily to supervise activities, handle sales pipeline and opportunities, and ensure you are meeting or exceeding all critical metrics.

We expect you to have

Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written); strong social skills; extensive experience developing and executicompletingand account management plans. Comfortable engaging with C-Suite, GC/AGC, Head of IR and Corporate Secretaries.

Ability to demonstrate and understand key business drivers, aware of the competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Effective at planning and prioritizes work using resources in the best possible way to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

Provides creative insights and / or solutions to address client / organizational challenges.

Establishes rapport with key decision makers to become a trusted advisor; demonstrates existing relationships.

Gains insight into crafting opportunities (e.g., progress meetings, fact-finding/exploratory meetings) to establish relationships and looks for signals that the customer may need additional products/ services.

Demonstrates knowledge of external trends (i.e., business trends, regulatory issues, global implications) to anticipate customers’ needs.

Collaborates with colleagues and internal business group leaders to assess customers’ immediate and long-term needs and chips in to defining solution offerings.

Demonstrates confidence while delivering presentation materials to audiences; makes technical information clear, providing appropriate illustrations and examples.

Adopts customer centricity as a key driver of success and makes decisions with customers in mind, soliciting customer feedback and actively following-up pre-sale and post-sale.

Develops specialized customer expertise and matches customer needs to appropriate solutions across business functions; anticipates customer needs ahead of time.

It would be phenomenal if you

Have experience in a sales organisation

Knowledge of Salesforce/CRM and other sales enablement tools, such as Outreach.Io, LinkedIN Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo.
