Sr. Accountant, El Paso Health

Provides support in preparation of detailed profit-and-loss analysis, financial analysis, and overall business analysis for both internal and external users of financial information. Responsible for assisting in the managing, coordinating, and administering the organization’s finance functions to include the following areas: internal and external financial accounting, third-party recovery, investment and treasury services, capital expenditures and fixed assets, accounts payable, business planning, and financial and statistical reporting. Serves as the primary backup for the Accounting Supervisor and/or Director of Accoounting, and as department lead and subject matter expert to Associates in the Finance Department.

10. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

11. Must be able to type 40 WPM and be proficient in 10-key adding machine.

12. Extensive knowledge of all standard accounting operating procedures and principles.

13. Strong time management skills.

Work Experience

Five years of accounting experience required. Recent experience related to health plan or healthcare financial accounting preferred.

Education and Training

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required.
