Description

Position Summary:

Analyzes and reports on employee compensation and/or benefit programs including salary and benefit plans, incentive plans, merit increases, insurance plans, and retirement plans.

Essential Functions:

Benefits -

Administer group insurance programs including health/vision/prescription/dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, and voluntary benefit plans.

Perform claims resolution, change reporting, timely invoice resolution and approval, and communication of benefits information to employees.

Manage human capital management system. Generate reports for analytics.

Track benefit eligibility requirements to ensure timely enrollment and removal from benefit programs.

Compare existing company benefits with other employers.

Participate in area and industry surveys. Analyze survey results and develop recommendations for management review.

Partner with HR team to update onboarding and processes related to benefit programs as needed.

Oversee COBRA benefits administration and manage the third-party carrier.

Administer leave programs. Develop and install new or modified leave programs and policies.

Serve as Worker’s Compensation lead.

Develop benefits information and statistical and census data for actuaries/audits, insurance carriers, and management.

Administer company wellness program and act as chair of the Wellness Committee.

Maintain and support the 401K program.

Compensation -

Administer annual merit process, including project planning, communication, and execution.

Supports the management, development, design, evaluation, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs and initiatives.

Responsible for guiding the compliance with FLSA regulations and recommend compensation actions.

Consult with Leadership and HR Partners on Compensation concerns/issues; including recommendation on promotions, transfers, equity increases, and compliance regulations, etc.

Maintain market match data, job descriptions, and other documentation related to Compensation including updates to third party tool.

Periodic analysis of salary structure and positions to ensure jobs are competitively positioned in comparison to market.

Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

Ability to deliver clear and precise presentations to peers and management team on compensation projects.

Must be extremely analytical and computer literate with strong Excel skills.

Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and ability to advise on laws and regulations affecting HR practices.

Knowledge of salary planning tools and methods, job evaluation techniques, and market salary trends.

2+ years of experience administering benefits with a related degree.

4+ years of experience administering benefits with an unrelated degree.

Knowledge of applicable state and federal benefit related laws.

Experience using HRMS/HCMS, especially in relation to benefits. Ability to deliver clear and precise presentations to peers and management team on compensation projects. Must be extremely analytical and computer literate with strong Excel skills.

Preferred Credentials:

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or CCP coursework
