Interdigital is looking to add to the Wireless Lab Europe team a Research Fellow (12 months, post-doctorate) focused on 6G wireless networks. The role will involve active creation of intellectual property, contribution to pre-standards and standards research, participation in collaborative R&D projects, and dissemination in scientific and industry forums and consortia. The role will demand excellent technical expertise, relationship management and proven communication and collaboration skills. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate solid experience (minimum 2-3 Years) in designing and developing technologies and protocols for wireless networks. Candidates will have strong analytical and research skills, including detailed system analysis with focus on programmable networking architectures. Ideal candidates will have experience with lab prototyping and/or simulations. Proficiency in design and implementation of wireless systems and network protocols such as 3GPP, IETF, ETSI or IEEE, is desirable. Candidates will be expected to hold advanced degrees in EEE, CS or similar. A PhD qualification is certainly a plus but strong MSc candidates with equivalent accumulated academic or industrial experience will also be considered. Knowledge and experience with European (e.g. H2020, HEU) and national research and funding programs as well as contacts to local players, both academic as well as industrial is desirable. A high level of independence, autonomy or self-management is required. English language fluency is required. European travel will be required.

Specific responsibilities in this role will include:

Working with the responsible project leader to research and develop advanced wireless network technologies and novel transport protocols for 6G.

Contribute to internal development efforts and ensure alignment with greater project objectives.

Represent InterDigital interests and positions within industry forums and academic partnerships.

Contribute to the generation of standard inputs and industry publications in areas of expertise.

Communication and socialization of project activities within greater internal project teams.
