P6 Project Controls Scheduler (Utilities experience)

Location: Philadelphia / Delaware / South New Jersey

CARIAN is growing! We are a proud, woman-owned management consulting firm providing program/project management, capital project delivery, consulting, and technology solutions to our customers in the renewable energy, power utilities, infrastructure, and transit/transportation sectors.

We are seeking a mid-level Project Controls Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project scheduling, particularly within the electric utility industry. This role requires proficiency in Primavera P6, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6.

Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.

Analyze project schedules for potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project team and clients.

Ensure compliance with project controls standards and procedures.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for project reviews.

Incorporation of vendor/contractor schedules into a master schedule

Identify project risks

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

Experience in the electric utility industry is highly preferred.

Minimum of 7+ years of experience project scheduling.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 is a must.

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
