Position Overview

As our Manager you will be a core member of the development team and your role will be to lead on the delivery of renewables development for onshore wind, solar and battery storage.

Responsibilities

Be part of the team responsible for growing our onshore renewables pipeline across the UK progressing our new development opportunities

Undertake detailed assessments of a site’s renewables development potential, including a detailed examination of all development risks and coordinate EIA and planning submission documentation

Manage the full project life cycle from conception through to financial close

produce and keep up to date project programmes, project budgets and manage internal reporting requirements

appoint and manage external consultants

manage stakeholder consultation including presenting projects to consultees, permitting stakeholders and host communities

Keep up to date with jurisdictional planning processes, regulation and policy and identify key risks and opportunities arising from change

Manage engagement with internal teams such as engineering, finance, legal, O&M

Contribute to financial models; identify project benefits; produce investment appraisals; identify project success criteria and present these to the country managers to achieve a financial investment decision

Required Experience

Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience. Relevant experience would include having worked for a renewables developer and/or having worked within a related discipline such as environmental or planning.

A robust understanding of the renewables development process, regulation and policy as well as regulatory and policy evolution;

Demonstrable relationships within energy industry.

Commercial awareness

GIS experience beneficial

Relevant undergraduate or post graduate degree
