Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant-Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps Lead

Skills – Genpact LLC seeks Senior Principal Consultant-Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps Lead in Danville, IL responsible for driving Enterprise Initiative projects for the client across multiple departments and ensure timely execution of the projects. Responsible for activities ranging from project management, process diagnostics, issue escalation, transition/handover planning, and driving process improvement and efficiencies using project management, ITIL, LEAN, and Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Responsible for managing the provision of Cloud technology-based products and services to regional and global clients. Lead and manage Cloud implementation programs of different technology products. Develop and execute domestic strategy and expertise across various Cloud tools, IT project implementations, technology management, and support for clients. Own and lead initiatives to define, design and implement IT automation i.e., DevOps solutions such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Testing using Agile and SAFe Agile Methodologies. Set up of Continuous Integration and Delivery System with Microsoft Azure Pipelines, perform continuous improvements and enhancements to existing DevOps frameworks. Enable security testing/assessment support as part of DevSecOps and retrofit client applications to industry standards and best practices. Define branching and merging strategies and implement a centralized branching model. Produce metrics as per the agreed schedule and discuss with client subject-matter experts. Measure DevOps metrics for Build, Code Quality, Test, and Deployments on weekly basis and publishing manual reports for Operations and Customer ARTs. Research and development to provide a unified, configurable, and easy-to-use DevOps dashboard for a E2E Application delivery pipeline. Bridge technological gaps across various engineering teams for continuous improvement in Build and Release pipelines and the processes. Develop detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports for technical projects related to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and data support systems across applications and technologies. Perform validation of digital tools and systems implementation. Collaborate with operations and transition teams, and other peer teams to drive the team to successful implementations. Adhere to Incident, Change, and Problem management process. Automate High Operational cost tasks such as break/fix, service requests, provisioning, and other repetitive manual intensive activities. Ensure all crucial and proprietary financial systems stay up and running by monitoring them on an ongoing basis and acting as the front-line response to incidents and restoring mission critical functionality. Improve software reliability by identifying, gathering and analyzing data from system logs and metrics to understand performance, implementing solutions to underlying problems and debugging software. Improve client systems for identifying and addressing technical problems including by developing better monitoring, alerting, and documentation functions. Identify issues from monitoring and analysis, as well as those raised by users and partner with software engineering teams to solve the issues and improve tools, processes, and software performance.

Education – Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in an Engineering (all), Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Technology, or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Foreign degree equivalents are acceptable. Position headquartered in Danville, IL with placement at project sites nationally within the United States with approximately 15% to 20% of travel required.
