Systems Analysts are responsible for the definition, refinement, design, testing, and implementation of highly technical requirements based on the business/functional requirements communicated by the Product Owner. System Analysts are also responsible for the preparation and publication of technical documentation (e.g., release notes) that support the continuous delivery of software. Systems Analysts are experts in identifying and analyzing defects within their products, and work with various members of a delivery team to ensure the deliverables produced align with the guidelines and standards defined by architects.

This role is responsible for all aspects under the management of the IT Hearing Aid Team, covering all warehouses and corporate environments while providing a genuine business value. Key components of this responsibility include but are not limited to; managing the performance of several key applications like the enterprise cloud service provider Sycle. The analyst will have specialized technology knowledge to handle all matters of pre-production, quality assurance, and production releases of new versions and patches ready for deployment into production, and then ensuring that the systems are functional across the enterprise. The work will include interfacing with our Business Stakeholders, Vendors, IT Infrastructure, IT International, and Development teams to ensure the requirements and new applications, services, and hardware are properly represented and deployed into production. Additional items include the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our supported business applications and services, definition, and refinement of technical requirements based on the business and functional requirements communicated by the Product owner.

ROLE

● Defines highly technical requirements aligned to functional requirements defined within user stories.

● Performs systems and data analysis on applications/products to understand functional design requirements, and performance accuracy and efficiency.

● Collaborates with technical and non-technical teams to define, design, test, and implement specific functional requirements of the system, as specified by the Product Owner and technology stakeholders (e.g., Systems Architects, Full Stack Engineers).

● Develops, implements, and tests detailed system design requirements in applications (including updating 3rd party applications, team sites, and collaborative tools) based on the acceptance criteria outlined within user stories.

● Identifies, designs and implements configurations in applications as defined by business requirements.

● Designs, develops, tests, and deploys software solutions complying with standards, guidelines, and best practices.

● Works with application teams to develop manual/automated test plans to validate the functionality implemented throughout the development lifecycle.

● Develops requirement traceability matrices to confirm the delivery of functional and non-functional requirements within a given product/application.

● Identifies and communicates improvement opportunities (functional and non-functional) to improve product quality and performance based on the input provided by technology team members (e.g., Systems Administrators, Product Owners, Full Stack Developers).

● Defines detailed technical requirement documentation aligned to the blueprints and technical designs prepared by System Architects.

● Supports the root cause analysis and remediation process to resolve defects and/or issues reported by product/application teams and stakeholders.

● Translates highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements that can be understood by product owners and other business stakeholders.

● Supports the implementation of best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.

● Prepares release notes outlining the functional and technical changes introduced by application teams within a given release.

● Collaborates with product team members to ensure technical requirements implemented by application teams adhere to the guidelines and standards defined by architects.

● Supports the definition of test data requirements.

● Designs, establishes, and maintains full operation of pre-production environments for test, dev, and QA.

● Develops test scripts and performs QA tests for each software and hardware release.

● Manages system administration for cloud-based software providers and internal applications.

● Manages Hearing Aid vendors to ensure that quality expectations are met.

● Designs, implements, and maintains appropriate levels of monitoring and support to address systems issues, perform root-cause analysis, and then develop documentation for issue resolution.

● Performs and resolves 2nd and 3rd Level troubleshooting of hardware and software issues as they are escalated from the Service Desk and our support vendors. Manage the vendor responses for patching and remediation.

● Manages release cycles with current vendors regarding support and future releases for software and hardware.

● Performs all aspects of asset management (hardware and software) for all support systems here at corporate and the warehouse locations.

● Supports all aspects of new warehouse openings, relocations, and remodels to ensure that the GHS departments are fully operational.

● Coordinates and maintains the life-cycle management of our hardware in support of the applications and its changes.

● Develops and maintains training and support documentation for GHS supported end-users and Support Knowledgebase articles for internal and external users to aid in troubleshooting, training, and other areas as defined.

● Runs Agile work streams within Costco, GHS and its vendors.

● Possesses good organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay well organized.

REQUIRED

● Highly responsive with an extreme sense of urgency - this is an “always available and on-call” role.

● Ability to quickly master the intricacies of GHS supported systems in Hearing Aid. Systems/Apps include: (Sycle.net SaaS, NOAH, Interacoustics Affinity Suite, GN Otometrics OTOSuite, Rexton/Connexx, Resound Smart Fit/Jabra, Philips Hearsuite, Phonak Target, Webex). Hardware/peripherals include: (audiometers (Affinity, Aurical), HIPRO Interface, Noahlink wireless, Fujitsu page scanner, and HP MFP).

● Excellent oral and written communication skills, which includes excellent customer service skills, having the ability to communicate simply/clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.

● Availability to provide rotating On-Call support, including Evening and Weekend, holiday, and other duties for issues escalated from the Service Desk.

● Demonstrated strong organizational qualities, being meticulous and detail oriented.

● Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills, a team player; able to work cooperatively with others, sharing ideas, and collaborating to achieve team goals.

● Ability to adjust positively to change in direction or assignments and able to work in a fast and dynamic team environment aligning IS and GHS objectives with Team’s performance and operations goals.

● Travel expected for support of warehouses.

● Demonstrates a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization while effectively teaching and mentoring other members of the GHS teams.

● Able to work well under stress and handle crisis situations professionally while engaging all levels of the Costco organization as a GHS team player.

Recommended

● Understanding of Hearing Aid Software/Hardware lifecycle management.

● Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for transactions, security, and confidentiality.

● Experience with system environments and deployments.

● Functional knowledge of Costco IT systems and procedures, with ability to support, install/de-install, configure, and service IT computer equipment at Warehouses, Depots, Corporate, and regional offices.

● Bilingual English and Spanish skills are beneficial.

● Above general knowledge of GHS supported hardware, infrastructures, and systems.

● Windows OS environment (eg. Active Directory, Group Policy) Google Workspace. Microsoft MECM/SCCM and related services. PowerShell, SqlQuery, Linux, and programming language(s). Cloud Solutions (eg. Azure).

● Experience with Ticketing systems, Jira, SalesForce, ServiceNow (“CARTS”), ALM and similar for the management of incident/defect/system issues internally and externally.

● Current Work experience with Hearing Aid Software/Hardware.

● Troubleshooting experience with software/hardware including desktop PC’s, laptops, printers, and USB peripherals, windows OS, group Policies, and internet browsers.

Pay Ranges:

Level 2 - $90,000 - $120,000

Level 3 - $115,000 - $145,000

Level 4 - $135,000 - $175,000
