Warehouse Associate

Summary: Performs data entry entering inventory information from receiving and shipping paperwork into Prelude computer software ensuring that inventory levels are accurate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures that receiving/shipping office is well organized, clean, and that workflow is well documented.

Prints and processes all paperwork associated with the warehouse operations including regular truck deliveries.

Maintains consistent and frequent open lines of communication with the Customer Service/Receiving/Shipping supervisors regarding all daily activities.

Coordinates larger orders with warehouse supervisor.

Provides back up to receiving supervisor by answering receiving scheduling phone calls and recording scheduled deliveries on receiving white board.

Communicates product received in the warehouse and/or at the dock level to customer service department on regular basis.

Participates in cycle count activity with other Griffin locations (back up only).

Updates catalog pages and pricing information.

Maintains bulletin boards in office and drivers room.

Ensures all paperwork has been marked for Hazardous Materials

Assists Receiving or Shipping crew when short-handed.

Receive and sort plants for daily trips.

Run open orders for the following week and coordinate with the vendors on pick-ups and deliveries.

Prepare carts for Monday pick-ups.

This position requires regular and reliable attendance and adherence to work schedules

Special Requirements:

Must be trained and certified in forklift operations and the handling of hazardous materials. Must wear company provided uniform and protective footwear. Cannot wear earrings, long chains, or other jewelry that may cause injury during the normal course of performing this job.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Will assist warehouse personnel from time to time by moving product and/or entering the warehouse to locate inventory, which will require lifting up to 75lbs.
