Fast-paced, high volume Ortho Plastics department is looking for top skilled med/surg nurses for our unit. Is that you?

Work location\: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours\: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7\:00 pm – 7\:00 am rotating weekends and holidays

Department highlights:

· 36-bed Ortho/Plastics Unit

· The post-surgical team provides care to the patient population with Ortho and plastic surgeries, hip fractures, elective hip and knee surgeries, flaps, graphs, reconstructive plastic hip fractures, single fractures, chest tubes, trachs, pelvic and femur fractures. Here’s What You Need

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing. BSN preferred

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire

1-year experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN Residency program required.

Previous Med/surg RN or ER experience preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• assesses the patient

• plans the care of the patient

• intervenes as appropriate

• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
