PHARMACY TECHNICIAN I/II FOR HOMECARE INFUSION

Status/Shift/Schedule: Full-Time/40 hours per week/Day Shift/Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM

About Home Care Pharmacy

Cincinnati Children’s Home Care Pharmacy offers Specialty Pharmacy, Infusion Therapy, and Enteral Therapy services to patients seen and cared for by Cincinnati Children’s providers. Our knowledgeable, experienced Home Care Pharmacy Team understands every child’s medical condition. We work with the team of doctors and nurses to make sure patients have access to the medications and therapies they need at home. Our team manages and provides medications, supplies, and support services to improve children’s health and quality of life.

About the Job:

Our Home Care Pharmacy Technicians assist the Pharmacist with medication profile reviews for drug incompatibilities, typing of prescription labels, prescription packaging, handling of purchase records, and inventory control. Additionally, the Home Care Pharmacy Technicians will:

· Prepare IV medications, Synagis, and enteral formula/feeding supplies.

· Perform phone triage.

· Insurance adjudication.

· Medical storage inspections.

· Sterile compounding.

Schedule:

The Home Care Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM.

Pay:

The salary range for this position is between $19.00-26.00/hour.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital needs.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, Certified via Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Previous high-volume IV experience highly desired.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year of work experience in a related job discipline

Certified via Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Preferred:

3 years high volume IV experience
