Farm Manager

Position Title: Farm Manager

Wage: $60,000/year

Farm Manager Responsibilities:

- Ensure well-being of the horses, including feeding & stall cleaning

- Maintain vigilance on farm operations

- Ensure barns and associated areas are organized and well-kept

- Assist with recruitment and training of new staff members

- Collaborate with ownership on farm goals as well as daily and weekly task lists

Requirements for Farm Manager:

- Background in agriculture or equine science

- Extensive experience in a horse barn or show programs is a plus

- Thorough understanding of equine nutrition, basic medical treatments, and daily care

- A passion for horses and the people who ride them

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

- Ability to make decisions in stressful environments

- English required; bilingual is a plus

- Willingness to work overtime

Benefits:

- Competitive base wage paid bi-weekly on Wednesdays in arrears

- Vacation time accrued per paycheck and expressed in hours; annual accrual will be equivalent to 15 days paid vacation
