They are looking for a Procurement and Contracts Officer ideally with a minimum of 1 years experience in procurement or in contract management to join their procurement team.

As a Procurement and Contracts Officer you will be responsible for leading and advising on the procurement of selective goods and services in line with company policy and relevant legislation.

You will work in consultation with service managers to commission, monitor, develop, manage and decommission contracts and service agreements to achieve value for money and deliver the companys corporate objectives.

Ideal candidate will be willing to travel to the Grimsby or Boston offices as required.

* Assist in consultation with the Customer Engagement Function to create and maintain arrangements whereby LHPs customers are afforded appropriate levels of information, consultation, involvement, decision: making and/or monitoring of procurement exercises.

* Ensure all activities are undertaken in strict compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.

* Ensure that all duties : including the management of employees, consultants and contractors : are in line with the LHPs policies, procedures, budgets, standing orders and financial regulations to ensure internal and regulatory compliance.

* Manage the procurement pipeline to ensure efficient delivery of procurement projects, taking into account any available category plans.

* Critically evaluate spend reports to identify value for money opportunities and report procurement performance within LHP.

What Skills, attributes and experience will I need as a procurement and contracts officer?

* Experience and a proven track record of achieving tangible results in delivering or procuring quality services within a complex, large scale (A GBP m+) and customer:focused environment.

* Substantial knowledge and experience of procurement policy and practice, including relevant legislation such as European Procurement Regulations, and knowledge of various forms of contract (e.g.
