We are looking for a talented Design Engineer who can turn designs into reality to join our team in Goa. In this role, you'll play a vital role in designing high-quality solar power systems for residential, C&I, and industrial projects. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects meet client specifications, industry standards, and budget constraints.

Who should apply?

If you have 4-6 years of experience in designing PV Projects, yield estimation, creating layouts, SLDs and electrical calculations.

If you’re proficient in creating site layouts, electrical system design, yield estimation, regulatory approvals etc.

If you specialize in designing MW scale PV plant, LV, and HV systems.

Key Responsibilities include leading the team to accomplish the following tasks.

Prepare electrical designs and calculations complying with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices and energy yield estimation using relevant Software.

Conduct site visits/site survey to support site evaluation and feasibility, suitability, and due diligence efforts.

Perform accurate system sizing calculations, Plant Array Layout, Single Line Diagrams, Structure Drawings, Construction Drawings and as built drawings for Solar Projects.

Must have knowledge of IS/IEC codes and specifications needed for the designing and execution of solar PV projects.

Design Calculation for equipment sizing, cable sizing, earthing calculation, DC Loss analysis and calculations of Bill of Material (BOM) / Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Solar Assessment like Generation Estimation, Shadow Analysis.

Responsible for operational level understanding of the requirement of the client/customer.

Coordinate with internal functions like Business Development and Procurement etc. for all technical specifications. Communicate with vendors, subcontractors and third-party engineering firms throughout project development and implementation.

Overseeing project execution. End to end execution of solar projects and service support. Visit job sites for project development, installation progress, etc.

Job Specifications:

Technical Skills: AutoCAD, PVsyst, Sketchup, Solar Labs to prepare project energy yield assessments and desktop reports. Zoho Suite is mandatory, Calendar Management, MS Office/Google Suite.

Experience in Solar power plant design of minimum 50 kw (RCC roof top, shed mount), experience with low tensile

Soft Skills: Conversational Skills, Documentation & Presentation, Teamwork, Organization & Analysis, Time Management & Multitasking, Learning & Articulation, Attention to Detail.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Strong understanding of solar technologies, project development, construction processes, utility interconnection, and city permitting.

How do you grow with us?

We know you're a financial whiz with a knack for problem-solving. That being said, the expected outcomes are:

30-day target

1. Learn all tech systems and product/service offerings to be effective in the position

2. Familiarize yourself with Renevik's design processes, tools, and software (e.g., Zoho Suite, AutoCAD, PVsyst). Shadow senior design engineers on existing projects to understand workflows and best practices for various project types (residential, C&I, industrial).

3. Understand the entire business process & process flow.

60-day target

1. Independently design and develop and produce accurate and efficient solar system design layouts for assigned projects.

2. Provide technical support to sales and marketing teams as needed, explaining design features and benefits to clients.

3. Establish working relationships with key team members across departments and stakeholders

90-day target

1.Independently finalize detailed solar PV system designs, including electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.

2.Implement strategies to mitigate project risks and ensure project quality standards are met.

3. Begin exploring advanced design concepts, such as battery storage integration or building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV).
