Position Overview: The Salesforce Administrator will be based out of the Sacramento office and will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our database. The Salesforce Administrator will identify, develop, and implement new processes while ensuring operational alignment. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, part Salesforce analyst and 100% dedicated to our mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the system administrator for Salesforce

Focus the Foundation and Center use of data for what best serves the mission

Handle all administrative functions including but not limited to:

User maintenance

Modification of page layouts

Generation of reports and dashboards

Creation of new fields

Applies project management oversight to Salesforce

Evaluates and reports on Salesforce user performance.

Gather detailed feedback and requests for improvements or changes to the system and implement changes as appropriate

Maintain an understanding of Salesforce challenges and develop comprehensive solutions to address them

Function as a subject matter expert and resource, especially as it relates to Salesforce. This requires attending meetings and conferences and giving presentations as well as reviewing articles and research.

Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as process builder, flow automation, validation rules.

Identify, install, and maintain appropriate apps from AppExchange for event management, mass email, document merge, and more.

Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the Foundation and Center.

Document customizations made in Salesforce.

Plan for upgrades, seasonal releases, and long-term projects.

Actively participate in capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using Salesforce knowledge.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position provides training, guidance, and support to staff but does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

At least three (3) years related experience.

Strong understanding of Salesforce platform, best practices, and functionality.

Strong project management skills.

Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified preferred.

Salesforce for Nonprofits Consultant certification preferred.

Familiarity working with nonprofit organizations and/or educational institutions preferred.

Language Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking, presentation, and group facilitation skills.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or Board of Directors.

The ability to speak, read, and write in another language is desirable.

Computer Skills

Expert knowledge in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, database software, and internet use.

Must be proficient with cloud-based systems; examples include Salesforce, Concur, Zoom, Teams, Mailchimp and Constant Contact.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a current valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Foundation’s insurance policy. Must have a reliable vehicle to perform various in-field tasks.

Demonstrates flexibility and ability to perform in a fast-paced organization.

Ability and willingness to travel.

Sierra Health Foundation will review the applications in June and begin the interview process in the month of July.

Sierra Health Foundation currently operates on a hybrid work schedule with core in-office days of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and optional telework days on Mondays and Fridays.

Compensation

Sierra Health Foundation offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The hiring range for this position is $112,300.00 - $130,000.00. As part of the Foundation’s commitment to compensation equality and transparency. Our practice is not to consider salary counters above this hiring range.
