Job Title: Saw Operator
Pay: $18 per hour based on experience
Shift: 6:00AM-4:30PM (Overtime opportunities)
Job Summary:
Safely cut foam producing finished goods or to supply to other departments for further assembly
This is a 1st shift position operating from 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday; Overtime as needed.
Essential Duties & Accountabilities:
Utilize and comply with the Quality Management System
Utilize safe work practices (safety glasses etc.)
Ensure proper housekeeping procedures to keep department clean and organized at all times
Correctly read a tape measure, blueprints and engineering drawings
Communicate material requirements to leader
Correctly position materials to avoid waste
Learn processing procedures, work flow and machinery operations
Assist in inspection and delivery of finished goods to correct departments
Learn the following skills/procedures: measurement, blue print reading, tracing, saws, convoluter, radius corners, machine guards, set up fixtures, forms, product assembly, inspection, cutting, pattern layout, product delivery, baling scrap and documentation
Distinguish differences in materials
Use hand/eye coordination to produce quality parts
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; shop class beneficial
Familiarity with industrial saws (rolling table saw, band saw) beneficial.
Will operate drill press, glue booth, foam scrap baler.
Microsoft Word, Excel or Visual Manufacturing beneficial;
Prior experience with computerized fabrication equipment desirable
Prior experience with a band saw
