Chemours is seeking a Water, Project Team Leader to join our Team.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Translating business objectives into the capital project objectives.

• Leads and organize the Project Leadership Team.

• Ensures all noncapital alternatives to meet the business objectives have been evaluated.

• Is accountable to the business for project success.

• Is responsible through the Project Team members for acquiring and releasing project resources as needed during the life of the project.

• Establishes effective communications within the Project Team to ensure alignment among business objectives, project objectives, and the Production Design Basis.

• Understands the roles, responsibilities, and contribution of functional members of the Project Leadership Team and empower them to do their jobs.

• Leads the development of the roles and responsibilities definitions for the project and preparation of the project RACI diagram(s); ensure each functional team member understands their role and deliverables.

• Manages overall project expenditures and schedule to meet business expectations.

• Clearly sets overall Project Team direction and expectations

• Is accountable for total project cost and investment.

• Provides primary interface between the Project Leadership Team and the Business Unit Steering Team.

• Drives capital project work processes and practices as described in the CPS.

• Ensures basic data is timely and complete prior to initiating detailed design.

• Leads all gatekeeping reviews and ensures all FEL deliverables are met.

• Works with Project Manager/Lead Project Engineer to prepare all project-funding documents.

• Ensures commissioning and turnover plans are prepared.

• Ensures operations and maintenance procedures are prepared.

• Leads development and validation of project economics.

• Serve as the Sarbanes-Oxley Approver for Capital Projects in areas of responsibility.

• Collaborate with Construction Leaders, to facilitate the overall process and address design issues that impede construction performance.

• Approve/Review and provide Receipt of Services validation for WIRs (Work initiation requests).

The following is required for this role:

Bachelor s in Engineer: industrial, mechanical, chemical, civil, or similar.

Minimum 5+ years’ professional experience in similar positions.

Ability to work under pressure to fulfill agreed deadlines.

English Language proficiency
