SUMMARY: The role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is critical to attracting and retaining the highest level of talent for StackTeck in all areas of the business. The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers to identify talent and will conduct full cycle recruitment for open positions, as well as help execute the recruitment strategy. This individual will report to the Human Resources Business Partner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with Managers within StackTeck Canada to identify the strongest candidates for new and replacement positions.

Manage the full cycle recruitment process in JazzHR, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, reference checks, offer negotiation and administration, and orientation assistance for vacant roles across all business functions including skilled trades, manufacturing, sales, administration, automation and engineering roles.

Partner with selected University/College Placement Counsellors, and Ministry of Colleges to attract new graduate, apprentices and co-op talent to StackTeck.

Plan, evaluate, research and/or recommend systemic and/or process improvements for the recruitment function.

Liaise with Managers on hiring best practices including interview training, behavioural interviewing techniques and psychological and aptitude testing where necessary.

Assist Marketing with employment branding initiatives and community involvement events including job fairs.

Assist in the compilation and/or preparation of confidential reports, statistics, and files for the HR and Payroll functions when necessary.

Carry out and participate in special HR projects as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Post-Secondary education in HR, Business, Psychology, or related discipline.

Minimum 3+ years’ full cycle recruitment experience. Agency recruiting/high-volume recruitment is an asset.

Familiarity and experience with technology such as HRIS, ATS, online job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and requisitions in a fast-paced environment.

Enrollment/interest in pursuing or completion of the Canadian Human Resources Professional certificate program preferred.
