Job Req Number: 82336

Time Type: Full Time

Would you like to help define information models for integrating data into reliable, intuitive business insights?

Our digital evolution is affecting our operational systems landscape as well as our reporting and analytics components. And you will be essential in taking our information structures to the next level.

“If you’re interested in data modelling and ready to learn on the go, this is a great way to do exactly that while influencing – from a BI/Datawarehouse context – how data appears in the different business units,” says Henrik Christensen, Senior Manager, Head of Information & Product Portfolio Mgmt. in CIA

Join a highly skilled international team

Within Global Finance, you will join our Centre of Insight and Analytics (CIA) with colleagues in Hedehusene, Warsaw or Lisbon and others in Basel, Vilnius, and Gauteng. In short, our expertise is data: How to integrate it for reporting and analytics, understand how it may be captured throughout our business, and how that affects the quality of information.

With this knowledge, we assist in assuring consistency, viability, and scalability according to our IT strategy. Now, we are moving towards Lakehouse and DDD/Mesh-type set-ups. A new level of consolidating infrastructure across the organisation will allow us to ensure the right information structures, visibility and quality of information from capture to provision for any level of insight.

“A lot is happening in DSV, so our focus is on deadlines and deliverables. But being visionary is also a lot of fun. What we do is highly creative and needs room for reflection and feedback. You’ll always find a helping hand and a high degree of trust in your abilities,” says Henrik.

The right data for decision-making

Joining us, ideally in our HQ, you will work on information analysis, data modelling and profiling analysis with a BI/Datawarehouse focus. Your job will be all about heightening the understandings, helping to improve the capture and providing perspectives on the data to optimise insights. And in the end, your work will help ensure consistent and valued information provisions.

This will take you over several steps, such as:

Business information analysis with concept mapping & modelling

Design of logical models for integration and analytical perspectives

Defining mappings and transformations

Assessing options and designs

Assisting in the verification of conformance

Advising on best practice, data quality as well as information management methods and structures

You will also help us improve information structures and segmentations for our enterprise data warehouse solutions together with our CIA delivery teams and gain a wider understanding of our business.

”We’ll share all our knowledge and abilities with you through on-the-job training. And every step of the way, friendly colleagues will be there to challenge, assist and inspire you,” explains Henrik.

Want to immerse yourself in information structuring and insight enabling?

Once you settle into the job, you will eventually be responsible for your own tasks and deadlines. So, you must be able to manage your priorities, estimate your efforts, actively listen and communicate – and sometimes say no, draw the line of what is feasible and meaningful as well as reach out for help.

You also enjoy creating structures and seeing patterns, looking behind the data and identifying the story – ultimately making it visible and easy to understand. You do not have to be a data world champion from day one, but we imagine that you:

Have some experience working with data in analysis, modelling, integration, or reporting

Are excited to work within this area, have a talent for it and would like to further develop your competences

Are able to travel possibly 5-20 days a year to see your colleagues around Europe and meet stakeholders at HQ

Are fluent in English, both in speech and writing

Know how to document key aspects clearly

Want to know more and apply?

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the position and about your options in DSV. You are welcome to contact Henrik Christensen, Head of Information & Product Portfolio Mgmt
