Job title: Principal Material Controller

Grade: S4

What you’ll be doing:

Responsibility for end-to-end Material Management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)

Managing and controlling Jigs including receipt issue and return

Overseeing post use inspection and maintenance

Coordinating Jig disposals and managing general Jig enquiries and escalated issues

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Preparing and collating data for inclusion into KPI’s and management information

Responsibility for maintenance budget controls

You’ll also have people management responsibilities within this role

Your skills and experiences:

Experience in a Supply Chain role/knowledge of Supply Chain processes with the ability to identify/resolve issues

Good analytical skills and competence in the use of standard Microsoft packages and business systems

Effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships

Ability to read technical drawings

Leadership and Management skills

The GFE Material Management Team

The Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) team is a niche and fast paced area of the business which is split between the Astute and Dreadnought Programmes and Jigs. This role provides high levels of exposure to both internal and external stakeholders including the MoD.
