We’re hiring a Childcare Center Manager to join us at The Learning Tree at 1591 Taos Rd in Pueblo CO.
What You’d Be Doing
As a Childcare Center Manager, you will provide administrative oversight to the teachers and teacher assistants at our premier child development and therapeutic childcare center. You will develop strategies, plans, and goals that align with the mission of Health Solutions and implement them in an organized and productive manner.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Service Delivery & Innovation (SVP), the Childcare Center Manager will:
Plan, coordinate, maintain, and oversee the operations of the Childcare Center and assist with the childcare development program to ensure the well-being and learning objectives for children are met.
Lead the Childcare Center staff and conduct evaluations.
Develop, recommend, and administer policies, procedures, and processes in support of Childcare Center operations, ensuring compliance with approved policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that the Childcare Center and staff conform to federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Ensure Childcare employees are not regularly scheduled for more than 10 hours of direct childcare during a 24-hour period and arrange for qualified substitutes as necessary.
Collect data relevant to the function and accuracy of support services programs.
Ensure the Childcare Center environment is safe and free of hazards.
Assist with all aspects of operations, including snack/meal planning and supervision of personnel in food purchase and preparation.
Recruit and schedule children for the Childcare Center, maintain accurate records on enrolled children, including development, attendance, immunization, and general health; conduct program registration and maintain appropriate files and waiting lists.
Formulate the annual program budget in collaboration with the SVP and ensure the program operates within budgetary parameters.
Plan, develop, schedule, and provide in-service training and evaluation for childcare staff.
Occasionally be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Frequently use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
Cover for co-workers during breaks and lunches.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the SVP.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For—The Must-Haves
At least 4 years of administrative experience
Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills
Excellence in written and oral communication
Valid Colorado driver’s license and access to transportation during work hours
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
CPR and First Aid Certification
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and childcare management software
What We’d Like to See in You—The Nice-to-Haves
Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
Experience with special needs children and knowledge of inclusive practices
Experience in grant writing and securing funding for educational programs
Knowledge of dual-language learning strategies
Experience with state and federal childcare licensing processes and requirements
Training in child psychology or counseling
