Index Analytics is seeking a SAS Admin to support Government clients in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Metro Area. The SAS Admin will provide O&M support and contribute to building new implementations of SAS for thousands of users spread across the country.

Responsibilities

Ensure the overall health of the SAS EBI Grid Platform and web applications whether hosted on prem, or in AWS cloud.

Serve as escalation point for escalated SAS EBI issues

Provide production support to end-users primarily using SAS Enterprise Guide

Design solutions to reduce the operational and managerial complexity of the CMS SAS EBI environment.

Support in the migration or deployment of SAS EBI 9.4 and SAS Viya in AWS cloud.

Provide support for the installation and configuration of SAS software including product updates, patches, and maintenance releases.

Oversee the creation and provisioning of users and groups using SAS Management Console

Design, implement and maintain SAS EBI application security.

Work with infrastructure teams including Linux administrators, AWS Administrators, network and firewall teams, to maintain the overall health of the SAS environment.

Work with the Database administrators for different data sources on various RDBMS platforms such as Teradata, Amazon, and Redshift to establish and maintain connectivity.

Work with the SAS vendor to troubleshoot any product issues and assist with the root cause analysis.

Participate in the daily Scrum calls, Iteration Planning, Retrospectives, and other ceremonies/tools utilized in a SAFe Agile implementation

Collaborate with other SAS administrators on the contract to perform the necessary job functions.

Establish best practices and guidelines for usage of the SAS EBI application.

Provide off-hours support as needed

Engage with client and translate business requirements into technical solutions

Provide weekly/monthly status reports as needed.

Qualifications

US citizen, or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years

Five or more years of experience supporting SAS reporting and analytical applications in a production environment.

Experience performing Administration tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of SAS software.

Good understanding of AWS Cloud technologies.

Understanding of databases such as Teradata, DB2, Snowflake, Databricks, and Oracle

Good team player; works well with others

Ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance

Prior experience with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other Govt agencies is a plus.
