Description
By participating in the ICATT Apprenticeship Program, you will gain practical skills and
academic knowledge, so you are prepared to start your career in manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Wire up motors and drives.
Use manual and CNC metalworking machinery.
Choose and carry out joining techniques.
Install and configure programs for hardware and software components.
Build, test, modify, and maintain industrial control systems.
Install, test, modify, and maintain electrical assemblies.
Read technical diagrams and schematics.
Choose or develop correct QA test procedures.
Assemble, disassemble, secure and transport machinery and systems.
Work systematically (Plan-Do-Check-Act)
Analyze problems for effective troubleshooting.
Understand the importance of correct documentation.
Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the
following competencies:
Able to work in a team environment.
Demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Mechanical aptitude.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to write routine reports, work progress updates, maintain records and logs and send correspondence.
Able to perform basic math, application of geometry and algebra is a plus.
Must be able to perform duties from written and verbal instruction, sketches, diagrams, visual aids, and memory recall.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read and write in English.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
You must be accepted into the applicable college program, via a college placement exam.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and reach with arms to grasp with hands.
Able to handle small parts, less than a ” in size.
Able to frequently lift or move 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move more with assistance.
Able to stand, sit, crawl, kneel, twist, bend, lie prone and climb, for an 8-hour shift.
Able to regularly walk up to 300 yards without rest.
Able to work at heights above 20 feet while using ladders, power lifts and forklifts baskets.
Adequate close, peripheral, depth perception and color vision.
Hearing ability to diagnose repair equipment.
