What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be supporting the development and execution of Global product medical strategy, through the Global Medical Plan, including lifecycle management, in collaboration with the Product Team/Portfolio Governance and alignment with Global strategy. You will support the definition of scientific evidence gaps, development of evidence generation strategy in coordination with other functions. You will support clinical trial conduct and participate in engagement of external key stakeholders in partnership with other functions. Additionally, the Global Medical Asset Lead will

Participate in development of data communication strategy (including congress)

Support Medical input into label and regulatory interactions, in alignment and with deep understanding of global strategy and program clinical trial data

Support implementation of Medical governance for respective product, which includes: safety and pharmacovigilance as a key and effective partner with GRAAS, global risk management/minimization in collaboration with GRAAS

Subject matter appropriateness (medical/scientific) of external interactions (e.g. copy review, multichannel, congresses, 1-1 interactions, etc.)

Ensure appropriate medical support of compliance

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of medical affairs or clinical development experience

OR

Master’s degree and 7 years of medical affairs or clinical development experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of medical affairs or clinical development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

MD plus accredited fellowship, board certified or board eligible, PharmD or PhD

Clinical research/medical affairs experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO) that includes collaborations with integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, and/or payers

Experience with clinical study management and conduct

Familiarity with US health care compliance considerations

Experience with opinion leader interactions

Experience with integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, and payers

Broad and formal leadership experience

Pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle and commercialization process knowledge with advanced understanding of other functions; including, but not limited to, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs

Network of customer contacts in therapeutic area

Knowledge of local pharmaceutical industry and legal/health system environment

Finance/budgeting and resource management experience
