Bovine Reproduction Centre Assistant Manager

About the role: Ced Wise AB Services Pty Ltd (CWAB) are seeking a Livestock Reproduction Centre Assistant Manager to join the fun, friendly and social team.

Located in the picturesque Granite Belt Region of Southern Qld.

The position offers great diversity and ample opportunity for the applicant exposure and upskilling in the many areas of advanced reproduction techniques including, AI, ET & IVF.

Responsibilities of the applicant: Animal Husbandry duties such as but not limited to feeding, health check, needling, mustering.

Assist with bull semen collections and manage donor cow synchronisation programs.

Complete and follow CWAB training programs and protocols.

Collaborate closely with the team in regard to synchronisation programs, animal health and preparation of facilities in order to achieve optimum results.

Assist maintaining accurate embryo transfer and semen collection data records.

Ability to carry on daily tasks independently.

Work and contribute to CWAB collaborative team environment.

Skills & Qualifications of the applicant: Passion for bovine reproduction and the cattle industry more broadly.

Experience working with cattle in a calm manner and excellent animal health and welfare knowledge.

Experience in bovine reproduction techniques such as but not limited to AI and semen collection desirable but not essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills both with clients and CWAB colleagues.

Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Driver’s License and ability to operate vehicles (Truck license beneficial but not mandatory). Ability to learn and follow specific protocols with the highest attention to detail.
