Are you ready to take on a leadership role in shaping the global supply chain of a world-class company? Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is seeking a Director of Global Supply Planning to join our ambitious team in Limerick, Ireland. As the Director of Global Supply Planning, you will play a critical role in driving flawless supply chain operations and ensuring the highest level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Network Planning

Accountable for all SNP Processes, including Net Requirements, Network RCCP & Network MPS, and Distribution Planning

Leads planning in generating rough cut capacity plans (RCCP) and a Network MPS for Surgical vision. Reviews multi-site constraints to balance end-to-end (E2E) Demand and Supply, taking into consideration customer requirements and the financial goals of the organisation.

Demonstrates proficiency in Network RCCP & leading a team to deliver excellent customer service while managing inventory carefully and to goal.

Leads distribution planning, including further distribution between warehouse nodes, and redeployment of inventory to meet customer service goals

Supply Chain Optimization

Establishes a well-structured process and timeline to lead all aspects of business rules and planning parameters (including safety stocks and inventory targets), transportation lanes, replenishment methods, and process tolerance and triggers. This supports a comprehensive planning process that is influenced by current supply chain capabilities.

Develops a culture of accountability around maintaining these key supply chain inputs (both within planning and with other key functions) that reflect actual performance as it exists in the current state

Develops and leads implementation of optimisation of supply chain capabilities (e.g. reduce lead times) to further improve the supply chain

Supply Chain Synchronization

Oversees the performance of an effective E2E planning process, ensuring any deviations or alerts from defined tolerances are addressed.

Directs multi-echelon recovery planning efforts for value streams

Evaluates the multi-echelon impact of supply disruptions and recommends prioritized actions to resolve and balance all relevant trade-offs. Leverages Scenario Planning capabilities as required

Periodically evaluates options to optimise the E2E value stream within the current SC infrastructure

Drives communication through S&OP/IBP processes to ensure cross-functional alignment on proposed optimal scenarios and ensures S&OP/IBP decisions are implemented

Leading

Builds and develops a team that consistently demonstrates strong work behaviours in E2E Planning and Supply Network Planning.

Ensures E2E Planning team engagement in S&OP/IBP processes to provide visibility to risks and opportunities in order to drive profitable trade-off decisions

Leads the implementation of effective planning strategies from start to finish. Applies process improvement tools to continuously enhance planning processes.

Determines E2E planning capability needs and implements people development, process, and technology strategies to ensure continual improvement in business results

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree; An advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

A minimum of 10 years of related Supply Chain related experience is required.

A minimum of 5 years of people management/supervisory experience is required.

A minimum of 7 years of Supply Chain Planning experience or Operational experience is required.

Strong background/experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems is required.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

Strength in interdependent partnering and team management is required.

The ability to effectively lead projects, timelines, and change management is required.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms is required.

Ability to embed a culture of harmonisation and process improvement and value creation across the business is required.

Preferred:

Relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector/cross-industry experience is preferred.

Experience with Advanced Planning Systems deploys, specifically OMP technology is preferred.

APICS certification is an advantage

LEAN and/or Six Sigma Certification, or proven experience, is helpful

Project management and/or PMP certification is preferred

Understanding of current trends in the external Supply Chain and ability to shape the future of PLAN is preferred
